Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyamide resin for printing ink that has improved blocking resistance and ink fixability while ensuring its solubility in alcohol. SOLUTION: The polyamide resin composition for printing ink is produced by blending (a) a fatty acid amide resin and (b) an alcohol-soluble polyamide resin in a weight ratio (a)/(b) of the resin (a) to the resin (b) of 5/95-60/40 wherein the fatty acid amide resin (a) is produced by subjecting (A) a 22C or less monocarboxylic acid, (B) a polymerized fatty acid and (C) a polyamine to condensation reaction under the condition (1) that a ratio of the component (A) to the total carboxylic acid components (A) and (B) is 40-100 % equivalent and the condition (2) that a ratio of (D) a 1-11C monocarboxylic acid in the component (A) to the total carboxylic acid components is not more than 50 % equivalent. The use of the fatty acid amide resin having an extremely low molecular weight and high cohesive force in combination with the conventional alcohol-soluble polyamide resin results in enhancement of blocking resistance, ink fixability or the like while ensuring its solubility in alcohol.
