Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a diathermic knife that can easily perform an incision or separation during an endoscopic treatment including endoscopic mucosal resection. SOLUTION: A diathermic knife 1 formed to protrude from the end section of an endoscope comprises a cylindrical hood 2 that is made of an insulation material; a wire rod 3 that is buried under the hood 2, a part of which is exposed to the outside near the end section of the hood 2, and that conducts high-frequency current from a high-frequency device; and a connecting member 4 that connects the wire rod 3 and the high-frequency device electrically, the surface of which is covered with the insulation material, and that can be attached to the outside of the endoscope detachably.
