Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging method and an apparatus by which downsizing and high-resolution can be realized and the reduction in the dynamic range is prevented. SOLUTION: The imaging method has a step of reducing the height of an electric barrier between a photoelectric conversion device and a transfer path which is adjacent to the photoelectric conversion device and transfers signal electric charge from the photoelectric conversion device within a period during which the photoelectric conversion device stores the signal electric charge and a step of separately reading out the first signal electric charge which is transferred from the photoelectric conversion device to the transfer path and stored during the above period and a second signal electric charge stored in the photoelectric conversion device.
