Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remote control system for an electronic device capable of preventing device setting errors even in the event that a plurality of managers have made multiple accesses when remotely controlling a device fitted with a Web server that provides various information. SOLUTION: A Web server 6 incorporates device setting information 8 and a setting update counter 7 into an HTML image 61 as hidden attributes upon a request from a supervisory control terminal 4, and sends the image. The supervisory control terminal inputs information for control and sends an input form to the Web server 6. Depending on the value of the setting update counter which is a hidden attribute of the input form and the value of the setting update counter 7 provided at the Web server, the Web server determines whether or not an optical end device 5 is to be controlled; when the values match, the Web server sends the content of control to a package setting supervising process part 9. The package setting supervising process part 9 controls the optical end device 5 according to the content of control sent. When the values do not match, the supervisory control terminal 4 is informed that the device cannot be controlled. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
