Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance a throughput by shortening a processing time which is required for the creation of recording data to which pre-ejection data (paper-surface pre-ejection data) for applying pre-ejection to a recording medium is added. SOLUTION: In this inkjet recording method, recording can be performed by ejecting ink from a plurality of recording elements, and pre-ejection processing for pre-ejecting the ink from the recording elements can be applied to the recording medium so as to keep ink ejection performance of the recording element proper. The inkjet recording method is equipped with: a process wherein one pixel is quantized into multivalued recording data capable of expressing several levels of gradation values; a process wherein the multivalued pre-ejection data are added to the quantitized and multivalued recording data; and a process wherein the multivalued recording data subjected to the addition of the multivalued pre-ejection data are made to correspond to a matrix pattern determining the recording or nonrecording of the dot in each of a plurality of areas constituting a region corresponding to one pixel, so that binarization processing can be performed.
