Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide en electric compressor for securing compression strength without enlarging a fixing part of a terminal pin, and surely preventing leakage of refrigerant gas, even when carbon dioxide is used as refrigerant gas. SOLUTION: A terminal substrate 73 is tightened and fixed to a mounting face 71 of a base 70 disposed to an outer peripheral face of a housing 11 with four bolts 75. Three pin through holes 76 are independently formed in the terminal substrate 73. Each terminal pin 72 is inserted into each pin through hole 76, and is fixed and supported to be insulative and airtight. Three pin insertion holes 81 are independently formed in the mounting face 71 of the base 70 to pass through the inside and outside of the housing 11 so that the pin insertion holes 81 correspond to the pin through holes 76 of the terminal substrate 73. A gasket 74 is interposed between the mounting face 71 and the terminal substrate 73, and the three terminal pins 72 are inserted into the corresponding insertion holes 81.
