Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an excavation and pipe-jacking apparatus which can optimize the amount of in-side overexcavation and the amount of out-side overexcavation in curved work-execution, which can adapt to a small diameter, and which can reduce costs. SOLUTION: This excavation and pipe-jacking apparatus is used for laying a buried pipe 1 in ground. The excavation and pipe-jacking apparatus is equipped with a leading pipe body 3 wherein a motor 13 for driving a cutter and the like are internally mounted, a cutter head 4 which is annexed in such a manner that a rotating axis O2 almost corresponds to the axis O of the leading pipe body 3, and an outer cylinder 2 which is connected to the leading end of the buried pipe 1. An outside diameter of the leading pipe body 3 is set smaller than that of the buried pipe 1, and an outside diameter of the outer cylinder 2 is set almost equal to that of the buried pipe 1. The leading body 3 is stored in the state of being eccentric with respect to the outer cylinder 2, so that the cutter head 4 can be protruded from the leading end of the outside cylinder 1.
