PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic tape cartridge which requires no loading mechanism on a recording-and-reproducing device side, enables easy mounting of a magnetic tape on the machine reel of the recording-and-reproducing device and is suitable for a magnetic tape built-in type recording-and-reproducing device. SOLUTION: The magnetic tape cartridge 1 is provided with; a case main body 2; a reel 3 on which the magnetic tape T is reeled and which is rotatably accommodated in the case main body 2; an opening 4 which is provided in the case main body 2 to pull out the magnetic tape T; and a loading part 6 on which one end of the magnetic tape T is mounted and which can block the opening 4 and is detachably provided to the case main body 2. The loading part 6 is provided with a magnetic tape accommodation part 6B which accommodates the magnetic tape T when the above accommodation part is mounted on a machine reel 11 provided in a magnetic tape type driving device and the magnetic tape T is reeled by rotating the machine reel 11.
