Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing structure and a fixing method of an optical element with which movement of the optical element is suppressed and the optical element is surely fixed at a desired position. SOLUTION: A sleeve 2 which internally stores an optical element 1 is provided with a communicative hole 4 which goes through a peripheral wall 3 and connects the inside and the outside of the sleeve 2. The communicative hole 4 is engaged in such a condition that a fixing member 5 having a groove section 7 is fitted. The fixing member 5 is fitted into the communicative hole 4 of the sleeve 2 and is contacted to the circumferential surface of the optical element 1 at a pair of opposing wall surfaces 7a and 7b. At that time, the fixing member 5 is press-contacted to the optical element 1 by being pressed from the top. Thus, the optical element 1 is supported and pressed by contact points A, B and C. Under the above condition, the sleeve 2 and the fixing member 5 are joined by welding and soldering or the like. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
