Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce water passage loss further by a straightening vane, reduce pressure pulsation, and reduce noise and vibration accompanying the same while reducing the amount of civil engineering digging and water passage loss by a delivery flattened bend pipe in an axial flow pump. SOLUTION: The axial flow pump 10 is provided with an axial flow pump part 9 including a pump impeller 2 delivering water in an axial direction, the delivery flattened bend pipe communicated to a delivery side of the axial flow pump part 9 and extending in a lateral direction form a vertical direction, and having flow passage section shape change from round shape to rectangle shape, and the straightening vane 5 extending with dividing a flow passage section of the delivery flattened bend pipe 4. The straightening vane 5 is provided to keep the ratio of flow passage cross section area of inside of the straightening vane of the delivery flattened bend pipe 4 and whole flow passage cross section area of the delivery flattened bend pipe 4 in a range of 0.06-0.23.
