SOLUTION: A face-to-face type kitchen unit is provided with a counter 2 which is accessible from both a dining room side and a kitchen side and a kitchen cabinet 4 which is built into at least one end of a counter 2, and includes a drawer shelf 5 pulled out not from a face facing the dining room side or the kitchen side but from a face 41 on the side face side above the counter 2 among the faces facing the counter 2 of the kitchen cabinet 4.
