PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile terminal which can perform communication by a plurality of communication systems and can switch a current communication system to another communication system while taking the state of an opposite terminal in communication into consideration and a communication managing apparatus for managing communication performed by the mobile terminal. SOLUTION: The communication systems include the WCDMA system and a communication system based upon SIP, and a mobile telephone set 101 is equipped with a WCDMA communication module 134, a wireless LAN communication module 136, and a whole control part 141. The whole control part 141 judges whether the mobile telephone set 101 and a mobile telephone set 102 are in a hot spot during communication with the mobile telephone set 102 by the WCDMA system. When it is judged that the mobile telephone set 101 and mobile telephone set 102 are both in the hot spot, an indication is sent to a wireless LAN communication control part 142 to establish communication by the communication system based upon the SIP.
