Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly available fan system which has increased availability in a conventional fan system, does not require other various costs and additive design burdens, or does not damage a whole product design. SOLUTION: A fan motor assembly 100 comprises a fan motor sub assembly 20 having a plurality of exchangeable fan motors 210, 211, 212 and 213, and a fan motor selecting mechanism 30 that is connected to the fan motor sub assembly 20 and is constituted so as to alternatively engage one of the plurality of exchangeable fan motors with a fan 11. A control unit 40 is connected to the fan motor selecting mechanism 30, and controls the fan motor selecting mechanism 30 so that the first fan motor 213 of the plurality of exchangeable fan motors mechanically supplies power to the fan 11 and the second fan motor 212 of the plurality of exchangeable fan motors can be removed from the fan motor sub assembly 20 not to transmit the power.
