Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple waste gasifying method having good heat efficiency, and a system therefor. SOLUTION: This waste gasifying system is equipped with a kiln 1 for subjecting waste to dry distillation to generate a dry distillation gas and constituted so that the overheated vapor W, which is produced in an overheating device 4 for using the dry distillation gas as fuel to produce the overheated vapor, is used as the dry distillation source of the kiln 1 and supplied into the kiln 1 through the peripheral wall part 15B made of a porous metal of the kiln 1 so as to be capable of being brought into contact with the waste in the kiln 1.
