Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a driving support device capable of discriminating whether a driver normally continues a driving operation or not by using a simple device. SOLUTION: The driving support device comprises: a voice recognition part 12 for acquiring a speaking voice of the driver of a train; a confirmation voice storage part 14 wherein voice data to be spoken by the driver is stored; a voice comparison part 13 which compares the voice acquires by the voice recognition part 12 and voice data stored in the confirmation voice storage part 14 with each other to discriminate whether the voice recognition part 12 has acquires a correct confirmation voice or not; a signal distance storage part 18 wherein distances from a train departure point of respective signals on a train running course are stored; a covered distance calculation part 17 for calculating the covered distance of the drain at intervals of a unit time; a distance comparison part 19 which compares the distance of a signal and the covered distance to give a waking-up indication in the case of the covered distance being longer and acquires the distance of the next signal in response to being informed of the correct confirmation voice from the voice comparison part 13; and a waking-up voice control part 20 for waking up the driver in accordance with the waking-up indication from the distance comparison part 19.
