Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem in a conventional device wherein the entire device is enlarged. SOLUTION: This cutting device comprises a rotary cutter for cutting dried-fish, a pressing tool for pressing the dried-fish to the rotary cutter from one end in the longitudinal direction, a chain that is disposed beside the pressing tool, is connected to the pressing tool, and is rotated to reciprocate the pressing tool, a guide body for guiding the dried-fish pressed by the pressing tool, and a separate and common rotation driving body for rotating the rotary cutter and the chain. A storing chamber storing a belt or the chain and a carry chamber in which the dried-fish moves are partitioned into separate chambers. The pressing tool has a locking section capable of locking a holding end of the dried-fish or an insertion section capable of passing the holding end, or can grip or release the holding end. The pressing tool has a vibration suppressing tool for suppressing vibration of the dried-fish to be cut by the rotary cutter. The rotary cutter is disposed at an upper cut position, a down cut position, or an upper cut and down cut position with respect to the dried-fish. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
