PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a knitted fabric of multilayer structure, which controls perspiration stain, reduces a feel of greasiness on the skin, has excellent quick-drying properties, mechanical strength, chemical resistance and color development. SOLUTION: The knitted fabric of multilayer structure has a surface layer composed of a yarn comprising at least 70 wt.% of a synthetic fiber multifilament subjected to water-repellent processing and a back layer composed of a yarn subjected to water absorption processing in which the percentage of water absorption and water retention of the back layer of the knitted fabric is ≤30% and dripping water absorption time is ≤7 seconds. The knitted fabric of multilayer structure has a surface layer composed of a yarn comprising at least 70 wt.% of a synthetic fiber multifilament subjected to water-repellent processing and a back layer composed of a yarn comprising 20-50 wt.% of a hygroscopic fiber in which the percentage of water absorption and water retention of the back layer of the knitted fabric is ≤30% and dripping water absorption time is ≤7 seconds.
