Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lower the power consumption of a liquid crystal display panel. SOLUTION: A unit output circuit corresponding to each scanning line is provided with an inverter composed by serially connecting two switching elements M31 and M32 between a high potential side potential VGH and a low potential side potential VGL and a transfer gate composed of switching elements M33 and M34, whose one terminal is connected to the output node N of the inverter and other terminal (Ca) is connected to a built-in capacitor. At the time of switching the output of the inverter from VGH to VGL, after both of the switching elements M31 and M32 of the inverter are temporarily turned off, the low potential side potential is outputted from the inverter, the transfer gate is turned on while both of the switching elements M31 and M32 are turned off and thus, electric charges at the time of switching are stored in the built-in capacitor. By reusing the stored electric charges for the switching of the inverter of the unit output circuit in the next stage, the power consumption is reduced. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
