Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a purchase support system in which articles (materials) necessary for a variety of services and events (cases) are searched for each genre and a list of articles to be purchased is therefore extremely easily obtained. SOLUTION: The purchase support system comprises: an ASP server which stores into a memory a plurality of cases and case material data for achieving the respective cases, transmits the case material data desired by a user through a network, and is provided with a UI program for enabling the user side to perform a calculation on the case material data; and portable information equipment for storing into a memory held material data on materials the user has already held, receiving desired case materials data, downloading the UI program through the network and operating it, and performing a calculation on the purchase material data regarding the materials purchased from the comparison between the desired case material data with the held material data.
