Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an internal combustion engine with an operated condition sensor mounted on an engine body for accurately detecting the operated condition of the engine while reducing the influences of radiation heat from an exhaust pipe, suppressing an reduction in costs for the internal combustion engine and an increase in the size thereof and producing a higher degree of freedom in arranging the operated condition sensor. SOLUTION: The internal combustion engine 2 comprises a cylinder block 21 and a cylinder head 22 by which a combustion space C is formed, the exhaust pipe 28, and an oil temperature sensor partially exposed to and mounted on the outside of the cylinder block 21 and the cylinder head 22. The exhaust pipe 28 is arranged facing the other side portions 21d, 21e, 22d, 22e different from one side portion 21c of the cylinder block 21 on which an exposed portion 95e of the oil temperature sensor 95 is arranged. The exposed portion 95e is located where the radiation heat from the exhaust pipe 28 is shield by the cylinder block 21 and the cylinder head 22. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
