Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of determining mixed foreign matter wherein a contamination timing whether the foreign matter is mixed in a production process, or mixed after opening a product, is easily determined when the foreign matter is mixed in food, in particular, the foreign matter is hardly changed in appearance and internal structure such as a form and a color tone by heat treatment or the like. SOLUTION: In this mixed foreign matter determination method, the contamination timing of the foreign matter is determined based on an analytical result about a degree of permeation of a food component into the foreign matter mixed in the food.
