Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a configuration for avoiding direct input of a shock load to a wiper motor especially in a vehicle collision, in relation to the wiper motor used in a wiper device for a vehicle, and its mounting structure. SOLUTION: The wiper motor 11 is mounted to a vehicle body 3 and is used as a drive source for reciprocating a wiper blade 15 for wiping out the window shield glass 5. The wiper motor 11 comprises a motor body 12 having a cylindrical yoke, a deceleration part 13 that is driven by and connected to the motor body 12 and decelerates and outputs the rotation of the motor body 12, and a shock absorbing member 2 that is mounted to the upper part in the top direction of a yoke outer peripheral surface and has a cross-sectional structure 20 crushable by applying of the shock load from the outside.
