Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile sound output apparatus driven by a battery a consumed output of which can be reduced. SOLUTION: A power supply section 12 charges the battery 14 when receiving supply of power from a reproduction apparatus and carries out driving by the battery 14 when receiving no power supply. When the power supply section 12 detects no supply of power from the reproducing apparatus, a wireless interface section 11 sets a wireless channel to the reproduction apparatus and receives sound data from the reproducing apparatus via the wireless channel.
