Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To carry out static elimination for an electrified body apart from a static eliminator securely, and also to carry out humidification. SOLUTION: A static eliminator includes a nozzle 11 for spraying atomized water to an electrified body 33, and a corona discharger 29 connected to a high voltage power supply 24 to electrify the atomized waterdrops 30 sprayed from the nozzle 11. The electric charge of the electrified body 33 is neutralized by static elimination of ions 32 produced together with evaporation of the electrified waterdrops 31 sprayed from the nozzle 11. Further, the high voltage power supply 24 and a spray control means 23 are controlled by an ion control apparatus 25 in accordance with potential level of the front surface of the electrified body 33 measured with a voltage meter 26 so that amount of ions reaching the electrified body 33 is controlled.
