Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle theft preventive apparatus, which stops a vehicle without hampering the travel of vehicles around the stopped vehicle. SOLUTION: According to the vehicle theft preventive apparatus, a navigator ECU 1 checks if a stop instruction signal is received or not (step S2). When the stop instruction signal is received, a step S4 follows, and when the signal is not received, a step 7 follows (step S3). At the step S7, the apparatus ends its process without sending a stop control signal to an engine ECU 10. On the other hand, at the step S4, the navigator ECU 1 executes a process of vehicle stop permission judgement, and notifies a driver of the stoppage of driver's vehicle by, for example, making a display device 6 display a notice: 'vehicle will be stopped one minute later' (step S5). The navigator ECU 1 sends the stop control signal to the engine ECU 10 when, for example, the driver steps on a brake pedal (step S6). COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
