Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a distributor 1 for MODEM for connecting a MODEM 2 to a plurality of terminals A0 to A3 capable of effectively switching the plurality of terminals A0 to A3. SOLUTION: A MODEM connection means C4 is connected to the MODEM 2 and a plurality of terminal connection means B0 to B3 are connected to the plurality of terminals A0 to A3. Then terminal switching means 11, 14 are started by each prescribed period to use functions for carrying out the processing with respect to switching of the terminals A0 to A3 thereby selecting any terminal (any of the terminals A0 to A3) capable of making communication with the MODEM 2 connected by the MODEM connection means C4 among the plurality of terminals A0 to A3 connected by a plurality of terminals connection means B0 to B3.
