Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power converter employing such a matrix converter as an LC filter being fixed to an input stage can be reduced in size and weight. SOLUTION: N matrix converters are connected with a common LC filter and a common load is operated by the N matrix converters. Phase difference of triangular wave signals (carrier signals) being used for generating the command value of respective matrix converters is set at 360°/N and the matrix converters are driven with the same frequency and operated simultaneously. Since a current flowing into the LC filter has a frequency N times as high as that of the triangular wave signal (carrier signal), burden on the LC filter can be lessened.
