Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing N-methacryloyl-4-cyano-3-trifluoromethylaniline being an intermediate of bicalutamide useful as a cancerostatic agent stably in high yields and to provide a method for stabilizing N-methacryloyl-4-cyano-3-trifluoromethylaniline. SOLUTION: The method for producing N-methacryloyl-4-cyano-3-trifluoromethylaniline comprises reacting 4-cyano-3-trifluoromethylaniline with methacrylic acid or a reactive derivative thereof in the presence of a polymerization inhibitor.
