Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for managing an object stored in a cache memory, which manage and remove the object stored in the cache memory and a method therefor. SOLUTION: The method and the system provide a mechanism for determining which object is to be replaced with the other object, based on a weight calculated for each object stored in the cache memory. The weighting is determined by at least two of the elements, comprising the file size, file type, primary user, final access time and the likes, as well as by the relative importance of each component. The weight of each object is autonomously determined and/or can be determined at the time of a trigger event.
