Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance measuring accuracy by measuring both the flow velocities in a measuring channel and a flow velocity distribution in the measuring channel and reducing the correction errors due to differences in the form of the flow velocity distribution. SOLUTION: This fluid-measuring apparatus is provided with the measuring channel 5, trough which a fluid to be measured flows; a flow pattern measuring means 6 for measuring the shape of the flow velocity distribution of the measuring channel 5; a flow velocity measuring means 11 for measuring the flow velocities of the measuring channel 5; and an operation processing means 21 for determining the mean flow velocity or the quantity of flow by correcting the flow velocities measured by the flow velocity measuring means 11, on the basis of the flow velocity distribution measured by the flow pattern measuring means 6. A representative flow velocity and the shape of the flow velocity distribution of the measuring channel 5 are measured, to reduce correction errors to the representative flow velocity, and measuring accuracy is improved extending over the whole measuring range, from the laminar flow region to the turbulent flow region.
