Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seat for a vehicle capable of effectively reducing shearing force acting on the neck of an occupant in a back collision even in a seat for a small vehicle and in a simple and inexpensive constitution. SOLUTION: The seat for the vehicle has a seat back 1 formed by supporting a seat back cushion 3 with a seat back frame 2. The spring coefficient of an abutting part on which the chest of the occupant abuts in the back collision of the seat back 1 is set smaller than that of the other part, and an impact resilience cushion material 11 is disposed to increase damping coefficient, thereby reducing a relative moving amount and relative moving speed between the head and the chest at the time when the head is received by a headrest 8 in the back collision.
