Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide inhibitors (including antibodies) to IL8 receptor-binding interacting with the amino-terminal extracellular domain of an IL8 receptor and competing, for receptor-binding, with IL8 and other correlating natural ligands. SOLUTION: The inhibitor to IL8 receptor-binding comprising an antibody or fragment thereof that is capable of interacting with the amino-terminal extracellular domain of an IL8 receptor 1 and that is capable of competing with IL8 for binding to the receptor, wherein the antibody is obtainable by immunising a mammal with an immunogen that consists of a polypeptide containing M-S-N-I-T-D-P-Q-M-W-D-F-D-D-L, and wherein the immunogen has no IL8RI of the amino acid sequence of Figure 1.
