Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical information reading apparatus not sensitive to the effect of an external light. SOLUTION: The optical information reading apparatus includes an imaging section for imaging a reflected light from optical information; a light receiving section for receiving the imaged light and converting it into an electric signal; and a control section for controlling it that a time for exposure of the light receiving section differs from a time for signal transmission from the light receiving section. Furthermore, another optical information reading apparatus includes an imaging section for imaging a reflected light of optical information; a light receiving section for receiving the imaged light and converting it into an electric signal; and a control section for controlling it that a time for exposure of the light receiving section is shorter than a time for signal transmission from the light receiving section.
