Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that the deviation or the inclination of an optical axis of a lens which is required to be highly precise gets worse with the increase of the number of molding times and it is difficult to produce the lens while keeping high precision for a long period of time since an existing mold is constituted to regulate the deviation of the optical axis in an engaging part of a punching die and a drum die and the clearance is enlarged by sliding wear and the roundness is deteriorated by the oxidation. SOLUTION: In a method of manufacturing an optical device 8 by heating and pressing an upper die 2 and a lower die 3, the upper die is not brought into contact with the lower die 3 when performing heating and pressing, a regulating member 4 is arranged on the outside of a place where an optical device material 8 is placed between the upper die 2 and the lower die 3 to be freely attachably/detachably to/from the upper die 2 and the lower die 3, and the regulating member 4 regulates the thickness of the optical device 8, the deviation of the axis between that of the upper die 2 and the lower die 3, and the inclination of the axis of the upper die 2. The coefficient of thermal expansion of the regulating member 4 is set according to the coefficient of the thermal expansion of the optical device 8. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
