Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a discharge lamp having a large output, disusing an air-cooling mechanism arranged on the outside of the discharge lamp and a cooling equipment having a size many times as large as the discharge lamp for circulating the cooling water in a water channel formed inside the electrode, capable of flowing large current through the discharge lamp. SOLUTION: This is a discharge lamp in which a pair of electrodes are arranged opposed to each other inside an arc tube and at least one of the electrodes has a heat conductor sealed in the enclosed space formed inside an electrode main body made of a bottomed principal member and a lid member, and the principal member is formed so that the bottom face of the enclosed space is formed into a curved surface.
