PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To constitute a digital protective relay capable of confirming set setting values of setting items to be updated with no error and correctly updating them without operating a plurality of switches when the setting value of the digital protective relay is updated. SOLUTION: The digital protective relay comprises a processing part, a setting value setting means, a display selection switch, a display switching means and a display part. The setting value setting means outputs the generated setting-setting value to the processing part and the display switching means, outputting a display switching signal to the display switching means in generating the preset setting value, and which is constituted so as to extinguish the display switching signal when a generating operation is finished. The display switching means displays the display item of which the display selection switch selects when the display switching signal is extinguished, outputting the updating command signal for updating the setting value to the processing part, and which is constituted so that the setting value is updated to the preset setting value in the processing part.
