Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generally examine and analyze a communication network, a system and a device, in a system, a method and a device for setting and using a virtual network address. SOLUTION: One method includes a step to process a requirement from a requester asking to generate a plurality of software network devices having a plurality of corresponding medium access control (MAC) addresses. The MAC addresses can be assigned to networkinterface circuits. The MAC addresses and the software network devices are provided to the requester.
