Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition for a new tire having excellent low heat buildup characteristics, utilizing heat storage properties by crystal transition of a polybutadiene composed mainly of a trans-1,4-structure. SOLUTION: The rubber composition for the tire is a rubber composition compounded with 0.1-40 phr trans-1,4-polybutadiene, wherein the trans-1,4-polybutadiene has the following characteristics: (1) the content of the trans-1,4-bond is ≥96% and (2) endotherm ΔHtr by crystal transition from a low temperature crystal structure to a high temperature crystal structure, measured with a differential scanning calorimeter, is 50 J/g.
