Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a melamine-based, non-wood fiber-containing resin composition for molding, which is equal in its moldability to a wood fiber-containing resin composition, with intent to exclude the use of wood pulp which consumes a large amount of forest resources and is mentioned to be a cause of the global warming. SOLUTION: The melamine-based resin composition for molding comprises 5-80 pts.wt. non-wood fiber to 100 pts.wt. melamine-based resin, wherein the non-wood fiber is a kenaf pulp, a bamboo pulp and/or a flax pulp, and a melamine-based resin molding product is formed by heat molding of the melamine-based resin composition.
