Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition while maintaining abrasion resistance required as a dynamic sealing material, provided with good hypochloric acid resistance and capable of inhibiting the generation of so-called an indian ink phenomenon, and a sealing material by using the same. SOLUTION: This rubber composition containing hydrogenated nitrile rubber, 10-80 pts. wt. silica-based white-colored filler based on 100 pts. wt. hydrogenated nitrile rubber and a silane-coupling agent is characterized by containing 1-25 pts. wt. ultra high molecular weight polyethylene based on 100 pts. wt. hydrogenated nitrile rubber, and 1-5 pts. wt. sodium bis(4-tert-butylphenyl)phosphate and/or methylenebis(2,4-tert-butylphenyl) acid phosphate sodium salt based on 100 pts. wt. hydrogenated nitrile rubber. The sealing material is produced by vulcanizing/molding the rubber composition. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
