Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lifting magnet crane, preventing the occurrence of incomplete lifting for a steel plate in the automated lifting magnet crane, and enabling re-lifting at earlier stage in the case of incomplete lifting. SOLUTION: The automated crane includes: a processing means for detecting the total thickness of steel plates magnetically sucked by an electromagnet from an exciting current supplied by a current supply means and a magnetic flux detected by a magnetic flux detecting means in the state where the electromagnet lifts one or more steel plates by the supply of the exciting current to the electromagnet by the current supply means and the upward drive of the electromagnet by an up-and-down moving means. In this lifting magnet crane apparatus, the current supply means includes a means for controlling the current supply means so that the exciting current gradually increases to a predetermined initialized preset current intermediate preset current value while the lifting height of the steel plate is increased from the half dynamic lift off height to reach the complete dynamic lift off height.
