Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an emergency monitoring system using a radio telephone system capable of automatically turning on/off the system. SOLUTION: The control part 14 of a master unit 1 periodically refers to radio communication states with all slave units 2, immediately transmits a control signal to an emergency control part 5 via an emergency signal inputting and outputting part 11 and an emergency signal line 7 when the control part 14 loses a radio communication state with at least one slave unit 2 and updates communication information 202 of the corresponding slave unit 2. The emergency control part 5 automatically turns on the emergency monitoring system in response to the control signal received from the master unit 1. When the communication state of the slave unit 2 is later recovered, the control part 14 of the master unit 1 transmits a control signal to the emergency control part 5 via the emergency signal line 7 and updates the communication information 202 of the corresponding slave unit 2. The emergency control part 5 automatically turns off the emergency monitoring system in response to the control signal received from the master unit 1. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
