Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem wherein a user is merely required to hold a personal digital assistant by holding its display element directed horizontally to display an animation image long from side to side by rotating the image 90° with a CPU, but the exertion of a heavy load on the CPU results from 90° rotation of the images. SOLUTION: The personal terminal performs the rotation processing of the image only by the display element. The memory for the image to be built into the display element is formed to a square shape of which the one side is made the longer side of a display panel. When the animation image long from side to side is displayed, drawing data is written in the reading out direction to the display panel and the image is rotated and displayed by a driver section which outputs the drawing data to the display panel.
