Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a side door structure of an automobile capable of effectively transmitting a pressing force of an outer pad to an inner panel with a simple structure. SOLUTION: An outer panel 11 and an inner panel 12 are provided outside and inside along a vehicle width direction respectively. An outer pad 17 is provided between the outer panel 11 and the inner panel 12, and an inner pad 18 is provided in the inner side of a car room from the inner panel 12. In case of a side collision, the outer pad 17 presses the inner pad 12 and pushes it in the car room side, thereby easing an impact force against a passenger. An inclined surface 17C is provided in the outer surface on the opposed side to the inner panel 12, and a notch line 19 is formed on the inner panel 12 surface corresponding to the inclined surface 17C of the outer pad 17.
