Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provides a feed dog mechanism of a sewing machine, in which height of the feed dog can be easily changeable and finely adjustable. SOLUTION: This feed dog mechanism of a cylinder head type sewing machine is equipped with a feed bar (2) with a feed dog (1) set on one end and the other end supported by a sewing machine frame so that the feed dog (1) on one end is allowed to move in the horizontal direction and the vertical direction, a horizontal direction drive means to give motion in the horizontal direction crossing the forming direction of the feed bar (2) to one end of the feed bar (2), and a vertical direction drive means abutting on/supporting from the lower side of the feed bar (2) to give vertical motion to one end of the feed bar (2).
