PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shutter driving device simplifying the installation construction work of a shutter and being operated more surely and safely. SOLUTION: The shutter driving device is constituted so that a current detector 21 is interposed between a motor 3 driving a shutter body 1 and a power circuit 4 supplying the motor 3 at a time when the body 1 is lifted and lowered with power in the desired direction of a rotation, the revolution of the motor 3 is constrained and the increase of the detecting value of the detector 21 is detected by a control circuit 20 when the body 1 is lowered or lifted and the front end of the body 1 reaches a specified lower-limit place or upper-limit place and a limit SW mounted near the conventional upper-limit place and lower-limit place is omitted. The shutter driving device is operated automatically so as to remove an obstacle even when the obstacle is interposed between the front end of the body 1 and the lower-limit place.
