Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a lithographic printing original plate by which the original plate excellent in printing properties can be manufactured at low cost. SOLUTION: In the method for manufacturing a lithographic printing original plate having a photosensitive layer on a support, the long support, while being carried, is coated with a photosensitive composition and is subjected to a coating process forming a coating body having a coating film of the photosensitive composition thereon, and the coated body, while being carried, is further subjected to electron beam treatment wherein the electron beam is irradiated in an inactive gas environment.
