Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of quickly and simply discriminating the quality of blast furnace air-cooled slag which is effective for improving the fluidity preserving capability of concrete and reducing hazardous metallic substances such as hexavalent chromium. SOLUTION: The method controls blast furnace air-cooled slag powder by measuring the oxidation-reduction potential, which is an indicator indicative of reducing power of a substance, of the blast furnace air cooled slag powder, and determining the quality of the blast furnace air-cooled slag powder by analyzing an eluted content of non-sulfuric-acid type sulfur.
