Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To elongate the life of a wire saw when a rare earth alloy is cut off by means of a wire saw apparatus. SOLUTION: The wire saw apparatus comprises a pair of first rollers (13, 14) which have multiple wires wound thereon and have a plurality of grooves respectively, and at least one reel bobbin which supplies the wires to the pair of the first rollers and collects the wires from the pair of the first rollers. The wires are twisted in the opposite directions within the period when the wires are supplied to the pair of the first rollers from the reel bobbin and are collected again by the reel bobbin.
