PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To mount highly accurately an electronic component on various objects for mounting. SOLUTION: The electronic component mounting device comprises a mounting stand 20 wherein the electronic component is mounted, an electronic component retaining means 30 for transferring the electronic component into up-and-down direction, an imaging means 11 for imaging the retained electronic component T from the lower side of the same, a positioning means 40 for positioning the electronic component retaining means 30 and the mounting stand 20 relatively, and a mounting height adjusting means 50 for moving the mounting stand 20 along the up-and-down direction. In this case, the amount of deviation of the electronic component T retained by the electronic component retaining means 30 is obtained by imaging to correct the position of the same, and the electronic component is mounted by equalizing the height of the electronic component mounting unit of the mounted object S to the imaging height of the bottom surface of electronic component with respect to the imaging means 11 by the mounting height adjusting means 50.
